High level overview of six steps required to start using eZ Publish to deliver your message to the web.
- Domain name acquisition.
- Hosting provider that provides LAMP stack and ssh access.
- Create a mysql or postgres database within the stack.
- Upload latest ez to the hosting site.
- Run the eZ install make note of passwords, set default packages, choose preferred design paradigm.
- Login and start using eZ Publish, replacing default content with your own.
If you are using a Mac, and only want a local copy, start at step 3. Your own eZ Publish site on your mac is an easy way to get acclimated to eZ methods.
An in house eZ make a fine place to store and organize information and documents in any format, for yourself or collaboratively within your organizaton. Technology leading features, like site search, SEO optimization, a versioning text editor, multimedia, tag clouds, and fine grained access controls are included.
