Do the online eZ demo.
Be sure an hour is not approaching. The server resets every hour, on the hour.
1. Go to the demo page at http://now.ezpublish.no/
2. Click login link at the top of the page.
3. Login is editor for user, publish for password
4. Do not check the box to login to the admin interface.
5. Click on an article headline as though to read it.
6. Notice an icon bar floating over the article, with an eZ icon on one end and an OpenOffice or question mark on the other end.
a. This icon bar is the online editors toolbar
b. The plus icon allows adding an article
c. New articles and comments may not appear until being positioned into the layout so don't use the plus icon.
d. Editing an article, allows immediate feedback, so do use the pencil icon to edit the article.
e. Notice there are several elements to an article, including pictures, summary etc.
f. Make a noticeable change to some text, scroll to the bottom, and click "Send for Publishing"
g. When the page reloads, the changes have taken place, and the pencil icon may be clicked again to make more changes.
h. Notice the article may also be deleted using the trash can icon.
7. If you can fill out a web form, you can create content in eZ Publish.
8. To see how content gets positioned into page layouts, at step 4, check the box to login to the admin interface, an entirely different view of the site contents.
