Default Browser
Preference pane is logical place for operating system defaults.
Preference pane->Internet & Network->Preferred browser
A logical place to set the preferred browser. Do not look there, because the setting is not there.
Lets borrow a page from the dark side and make you go to the browser we prefer that you use as default, Safari, and put that preference setting inside that application. So if you want to change from Camino to Opera to Firefox to whatever, you always have to load our browser to do it.
Not really a big deal, except for the straight up borrowing of a bad idea that mucks up the way a user thinks the system works. The famously simple user interface gets confusing, takes a back seat this time, in the name of what? Bad idea, Apple.
