Create favicon

Create the favicon for the site.

A 32 x 32 pixel png file works best.

Apple-shift-4, then mouse down to capture any part of the screen. The image size that will be created on mouse up is displayed in a readout as the bullseye cursor moves. The reading should be 32, 32 for vertical and horizontal

Apple-plus, apple-minus speedily resizes any image displayed on screen in Preview.app. Using these two features a .jpg image sized 32x32 pixels is easily created on the desktop.

Find the picture (x) on the Desktop, and save twice. First as png (Portable Network Graphics) format. Then with the .ico extension. OS X works pretty hard to maintain the .png file extension, so may have to do a final file rename to ultimately deliver a favicon.ico file.

Default location for this file in the eZ Publish layout is /design/standard/images/favicon.ico. Replace the existing with the update. Best done with an override template so the next update of eZ Publish will not overwrite.
